President Uhuru Kenyatta has brushedoff Babu
Owino’s call for Obama to visit University of
Nairobi when he visits Kenya. This comes after
Babu Owino wrote a letter to the USA
Ambassador asking him to plead with Obama
to visit UoN as students have threatened to
commit suicide and others to urinate on a tree
Obama planted in 2006.
President Uhuru spoke to Babu as he was
leaving the conference hall where the Japan -
Kenya Conference on Infrastructure in Nairobi
ant was told to stop writing letters and instead
visit State House for dinner with Uhuru.
“Wachana na hii mambo ya barua. President
Obama will be free to visit any institution he
wishes to. Lakini wewe kuja State House
dinner.”
President Obama is scheduled to visit the
country on Friday 24th to attend the Global
Entrepreneurship Summit in Gigiri.
